Complaints Procedure (revised April 2025)

If any Youth Member, Parent/Carer, Club or FA Official or Coach feels that he or she has suffered discrimination, experienced or witnessed something of concern or that the Club’s Policies, Rules or Code of Conduct has been broken they should report the matter to The Club by using the form submission below.

Frontline Resolution
If an issue is simple and needs little investigation, a quiet word with the Team Coach or a Club Official is often the quickest fix. This isn’t about dismissing concerns — many can be sorted there and then with a clear explanation, an apology, or a fast action.

For example, a parent may have misunderstood club policy, a coach may have misapplied it, or the policy itself might need clarification. Speaking directly to the person involved is usually the fastest and easiest way forward. Most issues of this nature are resolved in a week. The Coach or Club Official must also report the concern and its resolution to the Club Secretary and the Club's Committee and it will be logged and recorded.

Handling Serious Concerns at Sankey Strikers

Sometimes, bigger issues crop up that can’t be solved with a quick chat. When that happens, Sankey Strikers takes a formal, fair, and thorough approach to make sure every concern is properly addressed and recorded.

If you’ve got a serious concern, report it to the Club's Welfare Officer. Alternatively, fill in the contact form at the bottom of this page which will be passed directly to both the Club Chair and Club Secretary.

  • You’ll be asked to submit your concern in writing to sankey.strikers.fc@gmail.com including your contact details so we can keep you updated.

  • Sankey Strikers will acknowledge receipt of your concern within 5 days

  • The Club aims to fully review and respond within 20 days, offering either a solution or outlining the next steps.

  • The investigation will focus on understanding what went wrong, how to fix it, and making sure the response is fair and proportionate.

  • If the issue involves potential breaches of FA rules or guidance, the Club will seek advice or report to the FA.

  • If the matter could involve criminal activity, the Club will pass it to the relevant authority.

  • If the concern affects wider Club policies or impacts players, parents, or coaches beyond the initial complaint (like match selection processes), it may be escalated to the full Club Committee for review and discussion.

  • Sensitive issues, especially those involving safeguarding, will be handled confidentially, with advice from the Club Welfare Officer and the FA where needed.

Above all, Sankey Strikers believes in learning from mistakes, owning them, and making things right for every member of our family focused Club.
